PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple and low-costed rear shelf structure of a vehicle capable of surely preventing a suspension cord from being pinched by an opening of a back door when closing the back door and a rear shelf, and capable of smoothly opening and closing the back door and the rear shelf. SOLUTION: This rear shelf structure of a vehicle is provided with the rear shelf 2 for opening and closing an upper opening of a luggage room 4 of the vehicle having the back door 1 and the suspension cord 3 for connecting the back door 1 to the rear shelf 2. Trims 5 formed at the right and left of the luggage room 4 have steps 5c formed of vertical walls 5b formed opposite to right and left side surfaces 2a of the rear shelf 2 and a loading part 5a possible to be loaded with the rear shelf 2, and the suspension cord 3 is fitted to a fitting holes 61 formed at the right and left side surfaces 2a of the rear shelf 2.
