PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deodorizing agent which can eliminate attached or generated malodor and sustain high effect for a long time without generating new malodor and, furthermore, be used by a spray etc. SOLUTION: Timber of resak, belonging to Vatica or Cotylelobium of Dipterocarpaceae, a tree distributed from the southern part of India to New Guinea, is ground. The wood powder with alcohol added thereto is kept standing one night and filtered. Alcohol is removed from the filtrate under reduced pressure. The deposit is dissolved in a little amount of ethanol, and a large amount of water is added and agitated to obtain the deodorizing agent comprising water dispersed resak extract.
