The device has testing slides (1, 2) that are a switch point guide or frog point movable between two end positions. Each slide comprises two crosswise slots (4a, 4b, 5a, 5b) to which a testing contact is engaged when reaching the end positions. One of the slots has a larger dimension than the testing contact, and distances pieces (8) are provided for fixing the distance of the crosswise slots corresponding to a lift of the switch point guide or frog point and are inserted into the slot having larger dimension. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing and assembly of an end position testing device.
