The disclosure provides a compound of the formula (I) and a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof which has 5-hydroxytryptamine-6 (5-HT6) receptor affinity, wherein R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, R6, R7, R8, R9, Y, Z1, m, n, and p are as defined in the specification. The disclosure also provides compositions comprising, methods for using, and methods for preparing the compound of formula (I). These compounds are suitable as a major modulatory neurotransmitter in the brain and are used for the manufacture of a medicament for the treatment or prevention of a disease state that is alleviated by 5-HT6 agonists, wherein the disease state comprises disorders of CNS such as psychoses, schizophrenia, manic depressions, neurological disorders, memory disorders, attention deficit disorder, Parkinson's disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, Alzheimer's disease and Huntington's disease.
