PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optimal structure of an air conditioner for a temporary facility for use mainly for cooling the temporary facility such as a tent. SOLUTION: A fixing member 7 is erected from a base 6 having an outdoor unit 2 mounted thereon, an indoor unit 1 is mounted at the upper part of the fixing member 7 facing the opposite side of the outdoor unit 2, and the connecting piping 8 of the indoor unit 1 and the outdoor unit 2 is mounted to compose an air conditioner A. The base 6 is composed of an upper base 6a having the outdoor unit 2 mounted thereon, a lower base 6b having a caster 9 attached thereto for enabling the air conditioner A to move, and an extending/contracting mechanism 10 for enabling the ascending and descending of the air conditioner A provided between the upper base 6a and the lower base 6b. An openable/closable opening 11a is formed at the wall face 11 of the temporary facility B. The indoor unit 1 of the air conditioner A is moved to a predetermined height in the temporary facility B from the opening 11a by the caster 9 and a raising/lowering device 10, the caster 9 and the extending/contracting mechanism 10 is fixed by a lock means 9a and an extension fixing means 10a, and the air conditioner A is installed in the temporary facility B.
