PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermally stable lubricant composition usable for a gear for a high load such as the one for a large-scale truck, and having abrasion resistance. SOLUTION: The lubricant composition contains an ester, a viscosity index improver and at least one of a phosphorus-containing compound containing sterically packed sulfur and a salt thereof. An ester of a monohydric alcohol or a polyhydric alcohol with a monobasic acid is cited as the ester, and a high-viscosity poly-α-olefin is suitable as the viscosity index improver. A tertiary alkyl amine salt of diisobutyl thiophosphate, neopentyl glycol thiophosphate or the like is cited as the sulfur-containing phosphorus compound. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
