PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a master recording medium for magnetic transfer capable of removing a writing error generated when magnetic transfer is performed and coping with high density recording, to provide a magnetic transfer method using the master recording medium for magnetic transfer and to provide a magnetic recording medium with magnetic information recorded by the magnetic transfer method. SOLUTION: A large number of fine rugged magnetic layer patterns are formed on the surface of the magnetic recording medium. Protrusion side surfaces in the circumferential direction of magnetic layer patterns have inclined anglesθto a disk flat surface and the inclined anglesθare different according to radial positions.
