PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting tool and a machining device, improving the working accuracy and working quality of a work, and lengthening the life of the cutting tool. SOLUTION: This cutting tool 1 is constructed by bonding a piezoelectric element 2 to a cutting blade with epoxy resin. The cutting tool 1 is held between a first flange 4a fitted to the tip of a rotating shaft 3 and a second flange 4b, and fixed by a tightening nut screwed on a screw part of the rotating shaft 3. Power is applied to a motor not shown, thereby rotating the rotating shaft 3 about 12,000 rpm. Subsequently cooling water is applied to a rotating disk-like cutting blade and a work not shown from a nozzle to cut or groove glass as a work. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
