PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lift for care, which is slim with low operation sound, in order to raise a dwelling environment in a care room and a residence having the care room by suppressing the space, vibration, and noise of the lift for care concerning the care room such as a bathroom to be commonly used by a person to be cared and a healthy person. SOLUTION: The lift for care includes snatches 33a, 33b arranged in a carrier 30 which is freely traveled along a pulley 25a and a rail 26a disposed in the neighborhood of a plurality of slim single-acting hydraulic cylinder devices 20 which secure hanging ability and sufficient lifting height without issuing noise in driving. The person to be cared 70 takes a bath by care with the use of the lift for care via a supporting tool 38 to be hung from a running block 35, which is suspended by support so as to be freely elevated/lowered, via wire 24 which is wound around the snatches 33a, 33b and run out or back linked with pistons 22a, while shortening the downward dimension of the lift for care which is attached to the ceiling 12 of the bathroom 11.
