PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a reduction of radiation exposure and improvement in image quality of conventional scan (axial scan), cine scan, helical scan, or variable pitch helical scan by an X-ray CT apparatus with a two-dimensional X-ray area detector of a matrix arrangement represented by a multi-array X-ray detector or a flat panel X-ray detector. SOLUTION: The X-ray CT apparatus with the two-dimensional X-ray area detector of the matrix arrangement represented by the multi-array X-ray detector or the flat panel X-ray detector has an image reconstruction means for performing image reconstruction while taking account of misalignment between the center line in the direction of a channel of the two-dimensional X-ray area detector and a rotatry plane and achieves the reduction of the radiation exposure and optimization of the image quality of the conventional scan (the axial scan), the cine scan, the helical scan, or the variable pitch helical scan without performing alignment of a data collection system comprising an X-ray tube, an X-ray collimator, and the two-dimensional X-ray area detector.
