PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a gas barrier material that has excellent gas barrier properties and hot water resistance, cures a coating film at a low temperature in a short time and has excellent productivity. SOLUTION: The gas barrier material is a polycarboxylic acid-based polymer having an amide ester bond at a crosslinking part between polymers, and has the ratio of absorbance at 1,411 cm<SP>-1</SP>to absorbance at 2,931 cm<SP>-1</SP>in an infrared absorption spectrum separated by a curve fitting method of≥4.00.
