PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new furoquinoline derivative exhibiting a high controlling effect stably against a wider spectrum of plant pests in a lower concentration, and a bactericide, especially agricultural/horticultural bactericide by using such the compound as an active ingredient. SOLUTION: This agricultural/horticultural bactericide is provided by containing a furoquinoline derivative expressed by any of general formula (Ia) or general formula (Ib), and/or its salts.
