PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter of a cigarette, having improved filtering effects of the filter of the cigarette. SOLUTION: A filter core 1 of the filter has at least one of a helical pathway comprising a hole 4 and a helical vessel 5. The helical pathway increases the length of the path in which smoke passes in the filter core, and also increases the adsorption area of a harmful material in the smoke in the filter core on the assumption that the air-flow resistance is not increased by adopting the structure to improve the filtering effects of the filter of the cigarette.
