PURPOSE:To enable application of projection processing on a work, by providing a wire electrode guiding body, which is formed approximately in an U-shape, and haying a slit, formed on the center of curvature, by means of which a part of the side of a wire electrode is exposed externally, and a grapsing part thereof. CONSTITUTION:When processing takes place, a wire electrode 1 is stretched along a guide passage 3a of a wire guide body 3, a servo mechanism, controlled by a numerically controlled device, is actuated, and a work 2 is moved in a direction Z relatively with the wire electrode 1. The work is approached in a manner that a given gap is formed between a part 1a of the side of the wire electrode 1 and the work 2. Thereafter, electric discharge is generated by means of a voltage pulse applied therebetween as a processing solution is fed therebetween, and the work is processed in an arbitrary projection shape.
