The invention relates to a chimeric protein comprised of a biologically active molecule linked to an Fc fragment of an immunoglobulin, wherein the chimeric protein binds less serum albumin compared to the same biologically active molecule of the chimeric protein not linked to an Fc fragment of an immunoglobulin.
