The invention relates to a packet (1) including: a group of articles (2) which are disposed side by side and which each include a base (3) and an opposing top (4) which are connected by a side wall (7), said group defining opposing front (13) and distal (14) ends which are connected by two opposing sides (15, 16); a rigid or semi-rigid side (17) including an upper panel (18) which covers the top (4) of the articles (2) and two side panels (19, 20) which extend over the sides (15, 16) of the group of articles (2) against the side walls (7) thereof; and a film (21) which is wrapped tightly around the assembly. The aforementioned upper panel (18) and the two side panels (19, 20) are solid and are connected to one another in a continuous manner. The rigid or semi-rigid side (17) leaves at least the front end (13) of the group exposed as well as the bodies (8) of the articles (2). At the front end (13) of the group of articles (2), the film (21) is provided with means for opening the packet (1).
