<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process cartridge existence detectin means using a current detection which can prevent a photoreceptor drum or the like from deteriorating and also can sense the existence of the cartridge without rotating the photoreceptor drum. <P>SOLUTION: The cartridge existence sensing device is provided with a voltage limiting section for limiting the upper limit of the voltage generated in a voltage generating circuit for applying the voltage to the process cartridge to a predetermined value or less, when the existense of the process cartridge is detected. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
