<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a program information display and selection device which can eliminate user's trouble to search for a favorite program among many programs by making it easy for the user to select the program, and also reduce the power consumption. <P>SOLUTION: The program information display and selection device has a remote controller A01 and a television B01. The television B01 has a control command reception section B02, a program information transmission section B03, a program information storage section B04, a favorite program information storage section B05, a user information storage section B06, and a control section B07. The remote controller A01 has a display selection section which displays favorite program information to select a television broadcast program.
