<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive and reliable security system for a residential building. <P>SOLUTION: In the security system 100 for a residential building, a security system 4 of an LON communication method is connected to each house 5 for detecting an abnormal state in each house through an LAN 2 constructed for communications within the residential housing such as a building and a condominium apartment.
