PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a headphone that effectively reduces sound leakage, improves a deficient low sound frequency band so as to enhance the acoustic characteristic of a speaker unit itself and improves the stability in a mount state. SOLUTION: The headphone includes: a tubular insert unit 30 to be inserted to an external auditory meatus 11 of a user; the speaker unit 21; a unit container case 12 for containing the speaker unit 21 and communicatively connecting the insert unit 30 to the speaker unit 21 spatially; and an earpiece 20 located to the tip of the insert unit 30, in a state that the insert unit 30 is inserted to the external auditory meatus 11 of the user, the unit container case 12 is configured to house the speaker unit 21 at the outside of an auricula 10 of the user, the diameter of the speaker unit 21 is greater than the outer diameter of the insert unit 30, and the diameter of the unit container case 12 is extended more than the outer diameter of the insert unit 30 corresponding to the diameter of the speaker unit 21.
