PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk driving device having shock resistance. SOLUTION: This device includes: a device main body into which an optical disk is inserted; a disk rotary-driving mechanism 24 holding and rotary-driving the optical disk inserted into the device main body; an optical pickup 25 for recording and/or reproducing an information signal in the optical disk; a pickup feeding mechanism 26 carrying the optical pickup 26 in the radial direction of the optical disk; a base unit 22 having these component integrally disposed in a base chassis 27; and a sub-chassis 29 having an elevating member for supporting the base unit 22 via a damper 28 and bringing the base unit 22 close to/away from the optical disk.
