PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a common use type air cleaning filter capable of being attached to many kinds of air cleaners having various shapes and capable of achieving stable cleaning action. SOLUTION: The common use type air cleaning filter has a filter body 2 equipped with filter parts 2a and is constituted so that adjusting members 4 are attached to at least three peripheries of the filter body 2. Each of the adjusting members 4 has the thickness in inner and outer directions corresponding to the gap between a filter attaching part and the filter body 2 when the air cleaning filter 1 is attached to the filter attaching part and the thickness (t) in the inner and outer directions of the adjusting members 4 is set to 8-50 mm.
