<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a clock for display to drive horizontal pixels without using a PLL circuit in driving display by converting the number of horizontal pixels of input video data into that suited for a display device. <P>SOLUTION: A horizontal clock to control timing of pixel driving in the horizontal direction in a display panel is generated in such a way that a driving period of pixel data, which is obtained by multiplying a cycle time mck of a clock synchronized with the input video data with an integer, is produced based on a ratio of the number of horizontal pixels before and after conversion. Thereby the horizontal clock is generated by utilizing a waveform of the clock synchronized with the input video data, and the PLL circuit becomes unnecessary. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
