<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic timepiece with an alarm having a power generation means, capable of suppressing quality degradation of alarm sound, and reducing power consumption at the time of driving of the alarm. <P>SOLUTION: This electronic timepiece 1 with the alarm includes the power generation means 14, a power generation detection means 15, an alarm means, and a control means 25 for controlling the alarm means. The alarm means is constituted switchable between the first alarm mode and second alarm mode having lower power consumption than the first alarm mode. When a prescribed power generation state set beforehand is not detected as long as a prescribed period by the power generation detection means 15, the control means 25 sets the alarm means in the second alarm mode. When use of the timepiece is guessed, the alarm can be driven in the first alarm mode and the alarm quality can be improved, and when the timepiece is guessed not in use, power consumption can be reduced by switching into the second alarm mode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
