<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an outer cover of an instrument hose connected to a handpiece drawn out from an instrument holder from being damaged by a cutter installed on the distal end of a neighboring handpiece. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of handpieces 8<SB>1</SB>-8<SB>4</SB>are mounted horizontally and in parallel on the instrument holder 5. A desired instrument, for example, the hardpiece 8<SB>4</SB>is drawn out as shown in a broken line and is used. Conventionally, a distal side of an instrument holder 5 is located at a position shown by a broken line 5a and the distal ends of handpieces 8<SB>1</SB>-8<SB>3</SB>are arranged on front positions as a handpiece 8<SB>4</SB>so as to match the position of the distal side. With such a configuration, a drawn instrument hose 9<SB>4</SB>abuts on a blade mounted on the distal end of a neighboring handpiece 8<SB>3</SB>and the outer cover of the instrument hose is damaged.
