COMMUNICATION SYSTEM, POSITION MANAGEMENT APPARATUS, AND COMMUNICATION PATH DETERMINING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system, a position management apparatus, and a communication path determining method capable of avoiding, or placing a limit on a range of, flooding and broadcasting of positional information between nodes required for determining a path in a network wherein communication is executed by using a plurality of terminals as virtual relay nodes.

SOLUTION: A PC position management server 107 receives information about apparatuses directly communicable by a radio LAN from sender PCs and receives information about apparatuses directly communicable by the radio LAN from a destination PC when the information received from the sender PCs includes no destination PC. Then the PC position management server 107 uses the received information items and BS positional information stored in itself to determine neighboring APs to the sender PC and the destination PC. When the neighboring APs of the both differ from each other, the PC position management server 107 determines paths between the sender PC and the neighboring AP to the sender PC and between the neighboring AP to the destination PC and the destination PC by using the information about the apparatuses directly communicable by the radio LAN received PCs under the control of each BS on the paths or allowing only the PCs under the control of each BS on the paths to execute a routing protocol.
