PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid the lowering of the frame rate of a moving image when simultaneously applying image processing to the moving image and a still image. SOLUTION: The image pickup device is provided with a reduction part 503 which reduces the image size of image data related to an image signal obtained by an image pickup element 2, a line memory 504 for temporarily storing the reduced image data, an image processing part 7 having a still image processing region and a moving image processing region and for applying the image processing to the image data, an all-pixel memory 501 which stores still image data related to a frame image signal for a still image obtained by the image pickup element 2 corresponding to a control command from the outside during the imaging of the moving image, and a selection part 505 for inputting the still image data stored in the all-pixel memory 501 and the moving image data in the image data stored in the line memory 504 after being selected by a horizontal line unit, respectively, to the still image processing region and the moving image processing region in the image processing part 7.
