PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To select and reproduce data suitable for user's feeling or situation at that time without necessitating any complicated operation when the data are successively read out and reproduced from a data storage means in which a plurality of data are stored. SOLUTION: The data reproducing device, by which the data are successively read out and reproduced from the data storage section 104 wherein the plurality of data are stored, includes: a reproduced history storage section 202 for storing the reproduced history including an identity information of the data, at least a part of which is reproduced; an identity information read-out section 204 for reading out the identity information of a part of or whole data from the reproduced history storage section 202; a reproduction characteristic information developing section 208 for developing the reproduction characteristic information regarding a predetermined situation on the basis of characteristic information of the data to be identified by the read out identity information; and a reproduction order deciding section 212 for deciding the reproduction order of data on the basis of the reproduction characteristic information and the characteristic information of a part of or whole data to be stored in the data storage section 104.
