PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a comparison method for copied content for an information storage medium which can complete all comparison during a period equal to or shorter than the period for one copy destination even if the number of the copy destination is increased; and also to provide a device therefor. SOLUTION: The device is equipped with a central processing unit block 1, a plurality of the information storage medium blocks and a system bus block 3. The plurality of information storage medium blocks for the copy destinations is equipped with a comparison part, in which data is read from each of the information storage media and compared with the data for the copy origin read by the central processing unit block and passed to the system bus block, and a comparison result output line for outputting the comparison result to the system bus block. The central processing unit block has the comparison result storage part for storing the comparison result via the system bus block, reads the comparison result stored in the comparison result storage part, and checks if correctly copied.
