PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate uncertainty about measurement result resulted from a measuring position or a convenient means as in the prior art by computing a helix angle of the whole finished products as an accurate and unique value. SOLUTION: The method comprises means for dividing a reference sectional line present in a section vertical to a twisting direction and an evaluation sectional line that is a reference in computing the helix angle to minute segments of line, respectively; computing the helix angle for each divided minute segment of line; and determining an average value of helix angles of all the minute segments of line as helix angle between the whole reference sectional line and the whole evaluation sectional line, or as helix angle of the finished product that is an object.
