PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a traveling support device for executing traveling support in the case of much more proper merging according to the characteristics of a driver. SOLUTION: The geographic information of an acceleration lane, vehicle status quantity, environment information and the driving characteristic information of a driver are acquired (steps S1 to S3), and a merging start position P<SB>S</SB>and an arrival time t are predicted based on the acquired information (steps S4, S5). Furthermore, a speed V<SB>1</SB>when a vehicle reaches the position P<SB>S</SB>and the current position P<SB>B</SB>of a vehicle on a main lane which reaches the position P<SB>S</SB>simultaneously with its own vehicle are searched (steps S6, S7), and the vehicle circumstances in its neighborhood are grasped (step S8), and whether or not the vehicle is present at the position affecting the traveling of its own vehicle when the vehicle reaches the merging start position P<SB>S</SB>is judged (strep S9), and proper warning/operation support is executed when it is judged that the vehicle is present at the position affecting the traveling of its own vehicle (step S10).
