PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely detect the runaway of a program without depending on the single step of a watch dog timer or a program. SOLUTION: The presence of the runaway of a program is detected by using information B on a bus used by a CPU 1 executing a program. The information on the bus is read in a timing set by a timer part 2, and the previous reading information and current reading information are stored in memory sections 4 and 5. The region of the same information among the information is retrieved by a comparison decision part 6, and the presence of the runaway of a program is detected based on the frequency of the retrieval result.
