PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively provide a compact camera improved in operability without spoiling portability. SOLUTION: A camera main body 11 is constituted of two housings 11a and 11b which freely slide each other, and is elongated and contracted by moving them to slide in a direction X between a contracted state and an elongated state. An aperture 12 is formed on the front of the housing 11a, and is shut by a flexible member 13 such as rubber. A projecting member 16 being a built-in battery is rotatably attached inside the housing 11a, and rotates between a housing position and a projecting position interlocked with the housings 11a and 11b. By moving the projecting member 16 to the projecting position, the flexible member 13 shutting the aperture 12 is stretched so as to cover over the projecting member 16. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
