PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint structure of column main reinforcements facilitating construction and reducing joint cost. SOLUTION: A column is a center column of a superhigh-rise RC (reinforced concrete) building composed of column main reinforcements 1 formed of large-diameter high-strength reinforcements with the peripheries restrained by a hoop, and high strength concrete. The intermediate parts of the column are provided with joints of the column main reinforcements 1. The joints of the column main reinforcements 1 disposed at four corners of the column are mechanical joints 3, and the other joints of the column main reinforcements 1 are lap joints using splice reinforcements 2 smaller in diameter than the column main reinforcements 1. The position of the joint for joining the column main reinforcement 1d erected from the lower floor, to the column main reinforcement 1u of the upper floor, i.e., a lower part distance h1 from the joint to the floor 4 and an upper part distance h2 from the joint to a beam bottom 5 are set to at least a cut-off length L computed by L=σ<SB>B</SB>a/(τ<SB>b</SB>ϕ), whereinσ<SB>B</SB>is the yield strength of the column main reinforcement, a is the cross-sectional area of the column main reinforcement,τ<SB>b</SB>is adhesion cleavage strength between the column main reinforcement and concrete, andϕis the peripheral length of the column main reinforcement.
