PURPOSE:To obtain a composite material having superelastic effects useful for a fabric, sheet and daily necessaries, etc., by dispersing many shape memorizing alloy fine wires in a matrix. CONSTITUTION:A composite material obtained by dispersing many shape memorizing alloy fine wires in a matrix. Natural fibers, synthetic fibers, natural rubber and synthetic rubber are used as the matrix. Fine wires obtained by forming into a wiry material having about 0.2-1mmphi diameter and subjecting the resultant wiry material to superelastic treatment so as to sustain a straight- lined form within a specific temperature region, e.g. 30-40 deg.C, are used the shape memorizing alloy fine wires.
