<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and method for performing the pseudo preparation of a near infrared face image to be photographed by using near infrared rays of light as illumination from the color image of the face of a person. <P>SOLUTION: This near infrared face image preparation device 1 is configured of a color face image acquisition means 101 for acquiring a color face image having a plurality of color half-tone information for every pixel; a pixel value extraction means 112 for extracting color half-tone information owned by the pixel value of the pixel of the acquired color face image for every pixel; a pixel value estimating means 113 for calculating an estimated pixel value in the wavelength of a near infrared region based on the correlation of the color half-tone information based on skin color reflection characteristics and the pixel value of the near infrared region and the extracted color half-tone information for every pixel; and an estimated image preparation means 115 for composing a near infrared face image from the pixel having the estimated pixel value estimated by the pixel value estimating means 113. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
