EVALUATION METHOD OF THREE-DIMENSIONAL IMAGE OF SYMMETRICAL ORGAN, MEDICAL IMAGING SYSTEM, AND COMPUTER PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method in which evaluation of a three-dimensional image of a symmetric organ can be automated in a wide range to automatically detect conditions different in right and left.

SOLUTION: A symmetrical organ system (11) is segmentized in a three-dimensional image (1). The segmentized organ system (11) is deformed, and the deformed organ system (11') is made into mirror-symmetrical halves with respect to the outline. The difference (17) between both mirror-symmetrical halves of the deformed organ system (11') is acquired based on the comparison between one half and the other half. The acquired difference (17) is displayed.
