PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an AC power generator for a vehicle which improves reliability by maintaining junction state of a heat sink and a cooling fan for a regulator. SOLUTION: The AC power generator for the vehicle includes a stator, having a stator winding, a rotor arranged oppositely to the stator, a rectifier which rectifies an AC voltage induced to the stator winding, a monolithic integrated circuit chip 70 as a regulator board for adjusting the output voltage, the regulator heat sink 72, to which the monolithic integrated circuit chip 70 is jointed; a regulator casing 7 in which the monolithic integrated circuit chip 70 and the regulator heat sink 72 are held; and a metallic regulator cooling fan 73 which is mounted on the regulator heat sink 72. Each of the regulator cooling fan 73 and the regulator heat sink 72 is formed by materials having equivalent thermal expansion coefficient. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
