PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator capable of ensuring a storage space inside and a heat insulating thickness, and applying an ultraviolet ray to an ice tray. SOLUTION: This refrigerator comprises a ceiling plate 16 composed the ceiling surface of a storing compartment 3 in a state that a recessed portion is formed on a part of the ceiling face, the ice tray 56 mounted at a position opposite to the recessed portion 17 of the ceiling plate 16, a LED 61 applying an ultraviolet ray to the ice tray 56, and a connector 62b supplying power from a control device 42 to the LED 61. The LED 61 and the connector 62b are disposed in such manner that the lowermost end of the connector 62b is positioned lower than the lowermost end of the LED 61 by utilizing the shape of the recessed portion 17 of the ceiling face.
