PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase a shock absorbing characteristic and to facilitate packing work. SOLUTION: This shock absorbing material 10 for packing is a pulp molding, and is structured by combining a second cushioning body 14 and a first cushioning body 11. The first reinforcing body has reinforcing parts 12, 13 joined to both ends 11b, 11f rotatively by a hinge part. The first cushioning body 11 covers the front face Pa, the reinforcing parts 12, 13 cover both side faces Pc, Pd, and the second cushioning body 14 covers the back face Pd of an electric product P. When the perimeter of the product P is covered, a protrusion 15 formed protrusively on the front face 14b of the second cushioning body 14 is inserted in a recess 16 formed on the parts 12, 13 and the body 14 is connected with the parts 12, 13.
