PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a phospholipid whose fatty acid composition can be controlled. SOLUTION: The method for producing the phospholipid containing a taken unsaturated fatty acid comprises culturing a microorganism in a culture solution containing the unsaturated fatty acid or its compound and then extracting the phospholipid from the cultured microorganism. The phospholipid can be subjected to a base exchange reaction with an alcohol compound and a phospholipase D to produce an unsaturated fatty acid-containing phospholipid of desired molecular species.
