PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a coated material which is capable of easily manufacturing a coated material equipped with a coated film having low gross and excellent in anti-fouling properties. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of the coated material comprises a coating step of applying an active energy ray curing coating including a polymerizable compound equipped with an active energy ray curing functional group, a polymerization initiator and a matting agent on the surface of a substrate 110 and one or more of irradiation steps of irradiating the coated face 120b of the substrate 110 on which the active energy ray curing coating has been applied with active energy rays. Among one or more of the irradiating steps, the first irradiation step is to perform the pulse-irradiation by the active energy rays including ultraviolet rays repeatedly on the coated face 120b using a pulse-UV irradiation apparatus 20.
