The rectangular blank which is wrapped around a box made of foam material as it is pushed through a specially shaped shaft, has two large side flaps (1) which stabilise the blank during wrapping. The wrapper is reinforced by cardboard and the flaps which are adhesively coated, are connected by lines of weakness, formed by perforations, so that they are afterwards separated. The box is pushed upwards through the folding shaft, the flaps entering chambers each side of the shaft as the box is wrapped. ADVANTAGE - The wrapper is prevented from bending.
