<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pitch drive for giving a longer life to an output shaft gear. <P>SOLUTION: The pitch drive 10 comprises a reduction mechanism 24 connected to a driving motor 16, a carrier base 35 connected to the reduction mechanism 24, and the output shaft gear 29 connected to the base 35 for gearing with a ring gear 7 fixed to a blade 6 and adapted to be rotated together with the base 35. In the pitch drive 10, the base 35 and the output shaft gear 29 are rotated via the reduction mechanism 24 with the drive of the driving motor 16 to rotate the ring gear 7 and change the direction of the blade 6.
