<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an energy station for generating hydrogen for a vehicle such as a car and generating electricity and heat for a house and a building. <P>SOLUTION: An energy station 10 includes a generating unit 12 and a separate remotely located dispensing unit 14. The generating unit includes a housing having an electrolyzer for generating hydrogen and a storage unit for storing hydrogen from the electrolyzer. The generating unit is located at a first location and the dispensing unit is located at a second location away from the first location. For example, the generating unit may be located outside the building and the dispensing unit may be located inside a garage.
