PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an objective lens drive apparatus capable of operating a lens holder smoothly and at high speed by reducing friction forth caused between a bearing part provided at the lens holder holding the objective lens and a spindle inserted into the bearing part in the objective lens drive apparatus of a shaft sliding type. SOLUTION: The objective lens drive apparatus, which has: a base member 30; the spindle 31 supported by the base member 30 and standing straight in the vertical direction; and the bearing part 32a inserted into the supporting shaft 31, is provided with a lens holder 32 holding the objective lens 25. An ultrasonic vibration transducer 9 is attached to the supporting shaft 31 in the direction being orthogonal to the axis direction of the supporting shaft 31. The ultrasonic vibration transducer 9attached to the supporting shaft 31 is arranged at a position at which it does not contact to the base member 30 and the lens holder 32.
