PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk device capable of performing exact servo operation by preventing troubles which may occur to the optical device and an optical disk. SOLUTION: A servo error signal operation part 15 provides a 1st signal with servo error operation, and outputs a 2nd signal. The servo error signal operation part 15 holds the operation content, and a setting part 18 sets the operation content of the servo error signal operation part 15 by rewriting this operation content. Also, the setting part 18 outputs a test signal as the 1st signal, and performs decision operation based on the 2nd signal whether or not the operation content of the servo error signal operation part 15 is correctly set.
