PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent resin leakage in a parting part and increase the joint strength of the parting part, in a multicolor molded article which is constituted by making a splitting bar ascend/descend in a cavity so as to split a cavity, and inject and infill molten resins of different colors into the respective split cavities, and a molding method for the multicolor molded article. SOLUTION: A top surface 52 of the splitting bar 50 for dividing the cavity C defined by a mold 40 is set in a step-part surface shape which is equipped with a plurality of step parts 53a, 53b and 53c. Thus, the molten resin M1 injected and infilled into the first cavity C1 collides with the step parts 53a, 53b and 53c as it advances toward a terminal end, and the flow rate of the resin is reduced. This prevents the resin leakage, and enables the joint strength to be increased because resin molded articles 20 and 30 are joined along the step-part surface shape. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
