PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shredder for a fastening band, which shredder has no complicated mechanism, and can be produced at a low cost, and is compact, and can be easily controlled, and can be easily moved to any place, and can be easily operated by any one. SOLUTION: An electric power source is switched-on when a sensor arranged between a pair of fastening band drawing-in rollers has detected the charge of the fastening band. Then, the fastening band is drawn-in by driving the rollers by transmitting the turning torque into the perpendicular direction from a bevel gear fixed to the output shaft of a motor. Rotary blades are fixed to a rotary blade supporting shaft arranged on the other side of the bevel gear fixed to the output shaft of the motor, and a fixed blade is fixed to the lower portion of a bearing supporting plate for supporting both ends of the rollers. The fastening band is shredded by being cut-off between the rotary blades turning at a high speed by the rotation of the motor and the fixed blade. As a result, the shredder for the fastening band having a structure capable of processing a plurality of fastening bands at the same time can be easily formed only by increasing the rollers and the fixed blade without increasing the motor and the rotary blades and without enlarging its compact size.
