PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically discharge removed lint by improving a lint removal technique in a washing machine. SOLUTION: While a conical cylindrical screen 1 obtained by forming a screen into a conical cylindrical shape is rotated around an X axis by a rotary driving roller 3, "washing liquid containing lint" is delivered from the washing liquid supply hole 8 of a washing liquid supply pipe 7. The delivered washing liquid is guided by a washing liquid spreading plate 10 and passes through a wedge filter 6, and the lint is filtered. The filtered lint is entangled with each other to be a lint ball 16, sent to the right side of the figure by the action of centrifugal force due to the rotation of the conical cylindrical screen 1 and the inclination angleθof the screen, and discharged as indicated by an arrow (a).
